Energus has become a venue for local, national and international events since its opening in 2009.
Ideally situated at Lillyhall in Workington, along Britain’s Energy Coast and within easy reach of both Workington and Whitehaven town centres; Energus provides Cumbria with world class facilities for events, exhibitions and conferences.

Floor to ceiling windows along with contemporary décor give the conference rooms and exhibition areas a light and airy feel. Each area is versatile allowing a variety of events and functions to be held here.

This unique facility helps plug the significant gap in venue and event management for local businesses across Cumbria and the North of England, continuing to contribute to the establishment of Britain’s Energy Coast.

Skills are at the heart of developing the nuclear sector of the future. With decommissioning, new build projects and new technology driving skillls demand the sector needs skills graduates and Apprentices to meet workforce needs.

Working with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and employers across the UK nuclear sector, Energus is committed to developing the workforce of the future through the facilitation and delivery of innovative, high quality graduate development, Apprenticeship and skills development programmes including Apprenticeship and Graduate Programmes.

The Café at Energus is open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 15:00, the lunch menu changes daily with hot drinks and snacks available all day. We are also open to the public.

Our extremely popular breakfasts are served from 08:00 – 11:00 and our selection of hot and cold lunches are available 12:00 – 13:45. Our lunch menu changes daily. From street food, Café classics, deli bar to grab and go - our food is created using quality, local ingredients from local suppliers.

In addition to this we also offer a takeaway hospitality menu. We will have your order ready for a pre-arranged time with multiple payment options available.
