Remembering Adrienne – Five Years On

Today marks five years since the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Adrienne.

Adrienne was integral to the success of Energus and made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with her. She led Energus with an energy and enthusiasm that set us up for the future, developing the offer here in West Cumbria but also in our graduate and early career programmes supporting the nuclear sector.  Her dedication, warmth, and passion for supporting others continues to inspire us every day.

To honour Adrienne’s memory, we are once again supporting Young Minds, a cause that was close to her heart.

Adrienne’s influence can still be felt throughout Energus. In our Auditorium, a commemorative plaque serves as a permanent reminder of her contribution and the positive difference she made to our organisation. Outside, our remembrance tree and bench provide a peaceful space for reflection – a place where colleagues and visitors can pause and remember her.

Five years on, we celebrate Adrienne, who gave everything to her role and even more to her team, past and present. Her dedication, compassion, and belief in people touched so many, including the graduates and apprentices who began their journey with her. We continue to carry forward her vision of development, support, and realising potential.

Her spirit lives on in every person she encouraged and helped to achieve more than they thought possible.
