NRS Apprenticeships Now Open For 2026

Build your future with a Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) apprenticeship 
Whether it’s your first job, a fresh start, or a new direction – earn while you learn and train with the best at NRS. 

What does NRS do? 
We are responsible for decommissioning the UK’s earliest nuclear and research sites – safely, securely and sustainably and operating a hydro-electric power plant. Our work tackles some of the world’s toughest engineering challenges using breakthrough technology, smart thinking, and clever fixes that get the job done. 

We’ve got decades of expertise, world-class knowledge and need new talent, new ideas and new voices to work alongside our expert teams across the UK.

Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Apprenticeships

Looking for a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience while earning a qualification? The 2026 NDA Apprenticeship Programme could be your perfect next step.

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join us as:

🔹 Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice - based in West Cumbria

🔹 SCQF Level 8 Cyber Security Apprentice - based at NDA (Dounreay, Scotland)

These roles offer a fantastic chance to develop valuable skills, work alongside experienced professionals, and be part of an organisation that plays a crucial role in the UK’s nuclear sector.

The NDA group sustainably, safely and securely decommissions the UK’s earliest nuclear facilities and preparing them for their next use. Their work ranges from reducing hazards at nuclear sites, to delivering a permanent Geological Disposal Facility for radioactive waste and transporting nuclear materials globally. The NDA also have a unique role supporting delivery of the Government’s sustainability aspirations to achieve and investing in social impact programmes to support the communities around our sites.
